We are a small part of a larger movement of farms practicing regenerative agriculture. Our goal is not only to deliver premium quality, healthy products to our customers - it is also to leave the land our livestock were raised on better than we found it.

That all means that putting our food on your family’s table makes a tangible difference in the world.

“You, as a food buyer, have the distinct privilege of proactively participating in shaping the world your children will inherit.”

- JOEL SALATIN

What exactly is regenerative farming?

Understanding your context - what works in one environment may not work as well in another

Keeping the soil covered - leave enough plant matter behind after grazing to keep soil covered

Minimizing soil disturbance - no chemical or mechanical tillage

Increasing plant diversity - the more species, the more resilient the ecosystem

Integrating Livestock - proper livestock integration maximizes soil health

What Holistic farming practices are used at RE:FARM?

  • We rotationally graze our cattle and pigs (also called Management Intensive Grazing) to avoid overgrazing and encourage more plant diversity and water infiltration

  • We have multiple species of animals on pasture on our farm

  • We do not use any fertilizer, pesticides, or herbicides

  • We do not use any hormones or antibiotics

WE PLACE A LOT OF EMPHASIS ON CHOOSING THE RIGHT GENETICS FOR OUR FARM. NOT ONLY DOES IT HAVE A DIRECT IMPACT ON THE QUALITY AND FLAVOR THAT ENDS UP ON YOUR PLATE, IT ALSO MAKES A DIFFERENCE ON OUR PASTURES HEALTH!
